1. Download the file NewHoocąk.ttf
and save to your desktop.
You Can Click
"HERE"
to download this file.
2. Right click on "My Computer" and then Double Click on "My Computer".
3. Double Click on the "Windows" folder.
4. Double Click on the "Fonts" folder.
5. Select "File" and when the sub-menu
appears like the picture below select "Install New Font".

6. Now when the window
appears like the one below do the following:
1. Select
the drive where the Window directory is installed (Normally C:)
2. Find your "Desktop"
folder and select it.
3. A list of fonts
should appear that are saved to your Desktop, now select or highlight the
font
"New Hoocąk (TrueType)".
4. Left
click on the "OK" button and the font should install.

Open a new word document.

Point to the fonts window and click the down button to find the "New
Hoocąk (True Type)" font
then select it and set the font size for the
document.
*Please Note That The "New Hoocąk" Font Does Not Display Properly In
Some Browsers

1. Now you can begin
using the New Hoocąk font.

The rules or keyboard strokes are as follows:
a) The diacritical mark under the lower case nasal vowels ą į ų is called a
sįįc
or a "Tail".
This mark is made by typing the backslash key after each
lower case nasal vowel after it has been entered.
The backslash key is located above the Enter key.
b) The diacritical mark under the Capital case nasal vowels ą į ų is also called a
sįc
or a "Tail".
This mark is made by typing the backslash key after each
Capital case nasal vowel after it has been entered.
The backslash key is located above the Enter key.
Note*** Do Not Use The Shift Key and the Backslash key with
Capitals
c) The diacritical mark above the lower case consonants ǧ š ž is called the
wokanąk
or a "Hat".
This mark is made by typing the tilde key after each lower
case consonant after it has been entered.
The tilde key is located below the Esc key.
d) The diacritical mark above the Capital case consonants Ǧ Š Ž is also called the
wokanąk
or a "Hat". This mark is made by typing the tilde key after
each Capital consonant while holding the
shift key down after it has been entered. The tilde key is located
below the Esc key.
Note*** Do Use The Shift Key and the tilde key with Capitals

The
diacritical mark for the "Hiyuša jikere" or glottal stop is made by
typing the semicolon key
at the place the glottal stop is needed in the word. This
key is located below the p key.
Procedure For Establishing Settings
In A Word
Document Using The Hoocąk Font
1. Open a new word document.
2. Point to the "Tools"
menu on the task bar.
3. When the drop down menu appears, select "AutoCorrect"
and a menu will appear like the picture below:
4. Uncheck "Capitalize first letter of sentence" and
"Replace text as you type".
REASON FOR THIS
SETTING
This will prevent the nasal vowels from
being capitalized if they are used at the beginning of a sentence.
This is
very important if the vowels (A, a, I, i) is used in all instances.
